Arising
2.1.
History
of Claxby. Approximately 120 books sold locally £597.05 paid into bank account
plus £900 cheque from Marc Fitch award. (There are still several books at the
library plus money). The Chairman would like to thank Mrs Liz Holmes and Mr Rex
Russell on their brilliant work producing 200 years Claxby Parish History and
also to Geoff Goddard for the design, layout and typesetting.
2.2.
A
letter of thanks has been sent to Mr Trevor Lyle for kindly letting us use his
marquee for the parish lunch on 30th June which was a huge success.
A very special thank you to Mrs Liz Holmes for her tremendous hard work in
organising the event and also to her many helpers on the day.
2.3.
Graffiti
on the swings, slide and see-saw has kindly been cleaned off by resident Mr Ray
Mitchell.
2.4.
Waste
disposal site - no further correspondence or information received.
3.
Highways
The chairman contacted Highways re the
possibility of widening the footpath and dropping the kerbs for wheelchairs,
etc. This has been noted and we are on the list.
4.
Police
Report
The police ask that everyone be vigilant regarding the increasing number of
shed breaks in the area. Garden shed alarms can be purchased from Market Rasen
police Station.
5.
Neighbourhood
Watch
The next meeting of the NHW is Thursday 12th September at
Gainsborough Police Station at 7.30pm (if any member can attend)
West Lindsey Crime and Disorder Partnership was attended by Cllrs Frank
Mandville and Sue Griffin.
6.
Planning
An emergency planning meeting was held in the Village hall on Tuesday 6th
August to discuss two planning applications. The first was from Mr Craik, The
Brook, Normanby Rise to erect a new stable block. Concern was expressed re
drainage, otherwise no objections to the application were raised. The second
was from Mr Ian Hall, Crossways, Mulberry Road to erect a conservatory to the
rear of his property. No objections were raised.
No reply from planning as yet.
