2. Matters Arising

A car boot sale was held in the playing field on Saturday 21st September which raised £75.00 towards the village hall upkeep. Many thanks to Sue Griffin for organising the event and also to Angie, Carol, and Phylis for their valued assistance. (11 stalls and refreshments).

The parish notice board is in urgent need of repair or renewal. The 100 Club committee has kindly agreed to donate £100 from their funds towards purchasing a new one, a selection of metal, wood or plastic frames are available.

The old fridge in the village hall kitchen has been removed due to the lack of use and mouldy.

The goal posts have been removed out of the playing field and have turned up in the drive of the Chairman for repair. The Chairman rang highways on 19th September re grass growing in gutters on the side of the road and request for road sweeper in village. This was done on 24th September. The Chairman also rang WLDC re emptying the dog bins on a more regular basis (they said these should be emptied every week).

3. Highways

All the gullies up Normanby Rise are full of rubbish and grass and due to the heavy rain the surface water bypasses these and finishes up at the bottom of the hill usually with a heap of stone and silt. Mr Broadley has kindly cleaned most of these out with a spade, alleviating the problem.

4. Police Report

Nothing to report.

5. Neighbourhood Watch

Problems arising due to the excessive number of calls given out in a particular day, sometimes 4 or 5 and some of these have already been sorted. The Chairman has had a word with David Townsend, the Area Co-ordinator, re more positive information and cancellation of calls when they have been detected.

6. Planning

The two outstanding planning applications (stables at the Brook, sun room at rear of Crossways) have both been passed by WLDC.

A planning application has been received to renovate/extend Cotswold Lodge on Pelham Road. The planning application was passed round each Parish Councillor for their views and comments, which were sent back to WLDC Planning Services. No particular objections were raised.

7. Treasurer's Report

A further 14 History of Claxby books have been sold since the last meeting. £70.23 has been pad into the bank.

The current balance is £1834

8. Walter Segal Self Build Trust

On going.
