Formalities
1.1.
Clerk
opened the Parish Council Meeting.
1.2.
The
Clerk welcomed the old and new councillors.
1.3.
The
Clerk asked for nominations for Chairman. Brian Hunter proposed and seconded,
all in favour.
1.4.
The
Chairman asked for nominations for Vice Chairman. Paul Hilton proposed and
seconded, all in favour.
1.5.
The
meeting resumed at 7.25pm.

Minutes
of Last Meeting
The Clerk read the minutes of the March meeting. Approved.
4.
Matters
Arising
4.1.
Elaine
Brumpton cancelled the booking for the playing field due to illness.
4.2.
Easter
Tea - Councillor Sue Griffin and her helpers organised an Easter Tea in the
Village Hall on Sunday 13th April which raised £74.00 towards the
upkeep of the Village Hall. Also a village treasure hunt was held. The Chairman
thanked Sue for her hard work and everyone who helped to make a very successful
and entertaining afternoon.

A46
Junction - The Clerk wrote to Steven Wiles, Head of Highways and Planning, City
Hall, Lincoln but has not replied as yet. A second letter to be sent.
4.4.
Affordable
Housing - No-one available for discussion at tonight's meeting. Laura Faria to
be asked to attend later meeting.
5.
Highways
Overgrown footpaths as minuted in Annual Parish Meeting. A second letter to be
sent re A46 junction - see 4.3 above.
6.
Police
Report
Two burglaries at Normanby-le-Wold have been reported to the police over the
Bank Holiday period. Several items of garden equipment had been stolen.
7.
Neighbourhood
Watch
There will be a talk by the Fire Service at Gainsborough Police Station on
Thursday 22nd May at 7-30pm.
In addition to shed alarms Lincolnshire police are offering shed security bars
at a reduced cost. They offer a strong and secure solution to vulnerable shed
doors. They are easy to install and come complete with a 70mm high security
disc lock and fitting kit. These bars normally cost £30 + £8 p+p but Lincs
Police will be selling them for £20 each. They will be on the Police stand at
the Lincolnshire Show.

Treasurer’s
Report
Balance of £482.95 reported. Business rates on village hall to be queried via
Steve Charlesworth.
9.
Bus
Shelter.
Paul Hilton reported progress. There may be money available (25% of cost up to
£1000 or 50% of special shelter costing £5000). ACIS to allow 2m x 2m site near
Cherry Lea. The Chairman read out the criteria for siting of the bus shelter.
10.
Notice
Board
The notice board in the village has now collapsed and needs replacing urgently
before any injury is caused.

Correspondence
11.1.
Saturday
17th May coffee morning in the church plus tombola, cake and plant
sales.
11.2.
Sunday
15th June - Open gardens in the village.
11.3.
Rex
Russell to give talk later in year.
11.4.
Concert
planned in the church in early December.
11.5.
Probability
of a quiz night later in the year.
11.6.
Precept
not yet been paid into bank. Steve Charlesworth to be contacted.
