2.
Matters Arising
All
items to be discussed under appropriate agenda items.
3. Highways
The
Chairman contacted road sweeping to clean up hedge cuttings through the
village. This has now been done. The reduction in width near Lyle’s farm
entrance is to be looked into.
The
Chairman has also contacted railways about a loose sleeper on the Park Road
level crossing. It was reported that the level crossing would be closed on the
night of 26th to 27th November for maintenance.

Police Report
Nothing
to report. The youths on the quad bike have not been seen again.
5.
Neighbourhood Watch
Nothing to report.
6.
Planning
The
planning application for the fishing lakes has been passed with a number of
conditions.
7.
Treasurer's Report
Balance
of £6,105.37 was reported.
8.
Playground
The
Parish Council has been successful in obtaining a number of grants totalling
approximately £22,000 for new play equipment to be installed w/c 28th
November 2005. The basketball hoop and backboard will be replaced at the same
time. A team of volunteers is required to install the safety matting. The
existing swing is to be removed ASAP.
The
bare areas of ground have now been re-seeded and due to the warm autumn the
seed has germinated and the ground is now covered with grass.
A
pony charity at Barnetby is interested in removing the portacabin in the field
at their expense if we are prepared to give it to them. We are still awaiting a
decision
Andrew
Lyle has cut the hedge.
9.
Correspondence
The
drinking water survey has been received from Anglian water.
Copies
of the salting plan for the winter of 2005 were distributed.
A
survey concerning the AONB was completed.
The
parish precept for 2006-2007 was discussed and a figure of £2400 was agreed on.
(Proposed Shane Bennett, seconded Frank Mandville, all in favour).
The
purchase of village signs has been passed back to the parish council from the
100 Club.

Nothing

11.
Village Activities
A
musical evening is arranged for Friday 2nd December 2005 at the
church.
A
suggestion was made to hold an Easter fair on 8th April 2006 to
include a grand opening of the new play equipment.
The
village newsletter was again discussed.

Any Other Business
The
light in the telephone box is still not working.
