Proposed

2.
Matters Arising
A
chocolate coloured large type Springer dog was seen several times in February
wondering around the village on its own, probably the culprit for dog dirt on
the footpath.
All
other items to be discussed under appropriate agenda items.
3. Highways
The
Chairman asked Highways to check holes in the road up Normanby Rise and near the
radar tower (job no 171136/8/3) and the deep gullies formed on the side of the
road between the sewage plant and Bristows corner (job no 171126/6/3).
4.
Police Report
Councillor
Frank Mandville has been elected as a committee member representing Claxby for
the NNPP.
5.
Neighbourhood Watch
Local activities recently.
Early
morning Wednesday 8th March a stolen car from Grimsby was found
alight at Swinhope.
Three
males were disturbed stealing another car at Brookenby which made off at speed
and the police car was rammed.
Two
males were arrested shortly after being prolific car thieves from Grimsby.
On
5th March several windows at business premises in Market Rasen were
smashed.
On
Monday night 6th March a window was smashed at Rasen Bikes on Queen
Street and a bike worth £1200 was stolen.

Planning
Planning
application for 53 log cabins discussed. Objections sent to WLDC and copies distributed
to councillors. No reply yet from WLDC.
There
were no objections to the planning application for a garage and workshop at Ivy
Cottage near the A46.
7.
Treasurer's Report
Balance
of £896.70 was reported.
8.
Playground
Mole
extermination – the Chairman contacted Ralph Thornally who is willing to
undertake the job as previous years before the grass cutting begins.
A
team of volunteers is required to install the safety matting.
9.
Correspondence
A
request for a donation of £125 towards the upkeep of the churchyard has been
received from Mrs Liz Holmes. This is to be paid after precept is received.
WLDC
require the village hall on Thursday 4th May 2006 for the District
Council Election. A fee of £120 was agreed upon.
10.
Village Hall
Nothing
to report. Amy Nicholl is shortly to return from maternity leave so hopefully a
committee can be organised.
11.
Village Activities
An
Easter fair to be organised on 8th April 2006 to include a grand
opening of the new play equipment. Councillor Ann Hill has volunteered to
co-ordinate the event.
12.
Parish Council Elections
Forms
for the Parish Council Elections were distributed to the Councillors.
13.
Any Other Business
The
litter bin near the seat on Bristows corner was dug up due to a burst water
pipe but not replaced. Kerb stone has also not been replaced replaced. A letter
is to be sent to Anglian Water.
