1.
Minutes of May meeting
Proposed
true record Councillor Ray Mitchell, seconded Councillor Wendy Roe.
2.
Matters Arising
The
kerb stone on Bristows corner has been replaced but not the litter bin.
A
cheque for £125 has been donated towards the upkeep of St Mary’s Churchyard.
All
other items to be discussed under appropriate agenda items.
3. Highways
Hedges
at the bottom of Normanby Rise need trimming. Lorries over the 7.5 tonne limit
using Normanby Rise. Letter to be sent to highways.
4.
Police Report
Councillor
Frank Mandville attended the first meeting of the NNPP. The opening meeting was
to elect a chair and vice-chair and asked villages to prioritise issues. Minute
of the meeting are to follow.
5.
Neighbourhood Watch
Noting to report locally but the Chairman asked all to be aware of theft from
garden sheds etc.
6.
Planning
The
planning application for changes to the reception log cabin at the fishing
lakes was passed with a number of restrictions to use.
7.
Treasurer's Report
Balance
of £1578.53 was reported.
8.
Playground
Serviceteam
have agreed a price of £16 for strimming around the new play equipment. It will
be carried out approximately every two weeks. A key will be cut for the
operatives.
The
travel matting is in place but needs tying and the edges securing.
The
basket ball hoop needs reinforcing.
ATC
used the field w/e 15th / 16th July 2006.
The
old cricket hut is to be dismantled and plans for a new pavilion were
discussed.
9.
Correspondence
The
Trees for Parishes was discussed and it was agreed to plant a further 15 trees
on the side of the playing field.
10.
Village Hall
The
Chairman is to get a quote for quartz heating for the village hall.
Amy
Nicholl has recently returned from maternity leave so hopefully a committee can
be organised.
11.
Village Activities
The
barbeque at the Lyles raised £449 towards the church organ.
A
Harvest Supper is to be held on the evening of Sunday 17th September
2006.
An
organ recital is to be organised when the organ restoration is completed.
12.
Any Other Business
The
100 Club is in the early stages of restoring the village pumps. The Parish
Council had no objections.
The
100 Club have bought a marquee for use by the village.
13.
