Minutes of the Regular Parish Council Meeting

Held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 21st November 2006 @ 7:30pm

Meeting opened at 7:30 pm

 

1. Minutes of September meeting

 

Proposed true record Councillor Frank Mandville, seconded Councillor Wendy Roe.

 

2. Matters Arising

 

Items to be discussed under appropriate agenda items.

 
3. Highways

 

The dyke down Normanby Rise has been dug out and new drain pipes installed and the road verge filled with rubble.

 

Some of the hedges (Langham Lodge) are still overhanging the footpath.

 

4. Police Report

 

Nothing to report. The NNPP was discussed but the second meeting has still not taken place yet. The NNPP minutes have still not been published.

 

5. Neighbourhood Watch


A meeting is arranged for 16th December 2006. A new co-ordinator for the NHW has been appointed.

 

6. Planning

 

Continuation of use for fishing lakes at Claxby Grange Farm has been passed.

 

Garage on Acis land adjacent to Cherry Lea has been passed though business or commercial use is excluded.

 

Boiler house at the Viking Centre has been passed.

 

7. Treasurer's Report

 

Balance of £1056.11 was reported.

 

8. Playground

 

Invoice for ATC for £20 has been produced.

 

Andrew Lyle to be contacted re hedge trimming around the playing field.

 

Dale and Megan were not successful in the award (Market Rasen Mail)

 

9. Correspondence

 

Nothing to report.

 

10. Village Hall

 

Village hall committee postponed until the new year.

 

11. Village Activities

 

The Claxby Open Gardens event is confirmed for Sunday 17th June 2007. The second meeting has not yet been arranged.

 

The church organ has been restored and a new floor fitted.  An organ recital has been organised for Friday 22nd December 2006.

 

12. Any Other Business

 

Councillor Shane Bennett reported dogs barking from the direction of Johnson’s farm in the early hours of the morning.
