were no members of the public in attendance.
Meeting
opened at 7:45 pm.
The
Chairman introduced the new PCSO Dave Asher.
1.
Minutes of November meeting
Proposed
true record Councillor Judith Pilbrow, seconded Councillor George Brumby.
2.
Matters Arising
All
matters to be discussed under appropriate agenda items.
3. Highways
The
dog bin at the junction of Normanby Rise and Mulberry Road has still not been
re-sited. The Parish Council may move it. The 30 mph repeater signs have still
not been erected. The culverts have still not been cleaned out. A maintenance
schedule is still not in place. Another e-mail to be sent to Steve Wiles.
4.
Police Report
A
burglary was reported on the 23rd November 2008 at Normanby Rise
when offenders entered a dwelling by the back door removing the occupants’
vehicle keys. They entered the vehicle, stole a digital camera, a satellite
navigation system and a Mig welder then left taking the vehicle keys with them.
PCSO
Dave Asher was given the opportunity to introduce himself to the Parish Council
and explain his role. His mobile phone number is 07949 131427.

Neighbourhood Watch
Nothing to report.
6.
Planning
Amendments
to the planning application for log cabins at Fish Ponds Farm had been
discussed at the planning meeting on January 9th 2008.
7.
Treasurer's Report
Balance
of £421.10 was reported.
Precept
of £2700 for 2008-9 was agreed.
8.
Playground
Some
minor repair work needs to be carried out (see RoSPA report).
Andrew
Lyle has to cut the top and outside of the hedge but has been unable to cut the
inside due to the wet condition of the field.
One
sign has been erected at the main entrance to the field. (No dogs or horses).
The stile at the side of the field is rotten and needs replacing when the
weather improves. The second sign will be erected when this has been carried
out.
Portacabin
to be removed.
The
use of the field by BMX bikes was discussed but no decision taken.
9.
Correspondence
Letter
from Mrs Elizabeth Holmes and reply from the clerk were read out.
The
inserts for the tourist information points are to be reprinted with amendments.
Letter
from Mr Trevor Lyle regarding the memorial woodland was read out. The Parish
Council agreed to maintain the woodland when Mr Lyle was unable to do so.
10.
Village Hall
A
regular monthly booking for the Chernobyl children has been made.
11.
Village Activities
A
bingo evening is planned for 26th January 2008 at the Festival Hall
in Market Rasen.
12.
Adam Griffin Cancer Appeal
Sadly
Adam Griffin passed away in December 2007. Members of the parish council would
like to pass on their condolences to his mother, father and sister and we are
sure that the village would like to join us in extending our sympathies.
13.
Flooding
The
road drains have been cleaned but the culverts under the roads have not. We
still do not have a maintenance schedule in place. A further e-mail to be sent
to Councillor Ken Bridger and Steve Wiles.
14.
