Held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 18th March 2008 @ 7:30pm

Meeting opened at 7:35 pm.

 

1. Minutes of January meeting

 

Proposed true record Councillor Shane Bennett, seconded Councillor Wendy Roe.

 

2. Matters Arising

 

All matters to be discussed under appropriate agenda items.

 
3. Highways

 

The dog bin at the junction of Normanby Rise and Mulberry Road will be re-sited when the weather improves in spring.  The 30 mph repeater signs have still not been erected. The culverts have still not been cleaned out. A maintenance schedule is still not in place. Another e-mail to be sent to Steve Wiles.

 

4. Police Report

 

PCSO Dave Asher has been transferred to Caistor and PCSO Neil Wallace is now covering the village.

 

5. Neighbourhood Watch


Nothing to report.

 

6. Planning

 

Nothing to report.

 

 

 

7. Treasurer's Report

 

Balance of £848.65 was reported.

 

8. Playground

 

Portacabin – the timber from the internal walls has been removed and black graffiti sprayed on the outside walls. There is an urgent need to remove it. The Chairman has spoken to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Control about burning it on site. There is no problem as long as there is nothing toxic present and that they are notified of the date.

 

There is still some remedial work to be carried out on the play equipment.

 

The use of the field by BMX bikes was discussed but no decision taken.

 

9. Correspondence

 

Letter from Steve Wiles read out re highways issues in the village.

 

10. Village Hall

 

Immingham ATC have booked the hall and field for Friday night 16th May, all day Saturday 17th May and depart Sunday morning 18th May 2008, Saturday night 28th May and Sunday morning 29th May 2008.

 

11. Village Activities

 

Nothing to report

 

12. Flooding

 

The road drains have been cleaned but the culverts under the roads have not. We still do not have a maintenance schedule in place. A further e-mail to be sent to Councillor Ken Bridger and Steve Wiles.
