The 2004 Picnic in the Parish will be held next to the church in the grounds of The Rectory on
St Mary's Lane in Claxby. The date to put in your diaries is Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 2004
and the cost will only be £1.00 per head!
The picnic is being held to raise funds for the Church and the Parish Council. The church is in
constant need of repairs and funds are essential. The Parish Council is hoping to raise funds
to add extra play equipment in the playing field.
There will be a large marquee in case of inclement weather. Tables seating approximately 10
each will be available and a prize will be awarded for the "best dressed table", not just the
table but the occupants. Bring some wine and your picnic, dance the night away to the strains
of our resident musicians, etc.
Car parking will be available.
